About / Graphic Designer

I’m Ayotayo Samuel Olowoyo, a graphic designer building clean, thoughtful visual systems with a cinematic edge.

My work sits between brand identity, packaging, typography, editorial design, photography, and digital presentation. I’m drawn to projects where the idea, layout, mood, and details all work together to create a strong visual world.

I care about design that feels intentional. Not just nice to look at, but easy to understand, memorable, and strong enough to live across different spaces.

Design Perspective

For me, strong design starts with clarity before style.

I like the part of design where things begin to make sense. The rough idea becomes a visual direction, the direction becomes a system, and the system starts feeling like a real brand.

I pay attention to layout discipline, spacing, typography, colour, image pacing, and how the full presentation feels. Those details matter because they shape how people understand and remember the work.

How I Work

I try to make every project feel structured, believable, and visually considered.

01

Find the core idea

I start by figuring out what the project needs to communicate before jumping into visuals.

02

Build the system

I connect the logo, type, colour, layout, imagery, and applications so the design feels consistent.

03

Make it feel real

I care about how the project lives in the world, from mockups and packaging to digital layouts and campaign moments.

Background

I’m building my design practice through identity, packaging, editorial, photography, motion, and digital projects.

I’m currently developing my work as a graphic designer with a focus on brand worlds, visual systems, and presentation. My projects often combine research, typography, image direction, photography, mockups, and layout to create a complete design experience.

Photography has also become part of how I think as a designer. I like capturing images that help build mood, atmosphere, texture, and visual direction, especially when a project needs to feel more personal, cinematic, or intentional.

I work mainly with Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, After Effects, and front-end layout tools. I also have a basic working knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, which helps me build and refine portfolio pages, web concepts, and digital brand presentations.

Focus Areas

The kind of work I enjoy building most.

Brand Identity

Logo systems, colour palettes, type direction, brand rules, and full visual identity development.

Packaging

Product labels, bags, boxes, tags, mockups, and packaging systems with strong shelf presence.

Editorial Design

Layouts, grids, hierarchy, zines, magazine-inspired systems, and typography-led storytelling.

Digital Direction

Portfolio pages, web concepts, campaign visuals, and digital brand experiences, supported by basic HTML, CSS, and JavaScript knowledge.

Outside Design

When I’m not designing, I’m probably watching sports, taking pictures, checking out fashion visuals, listening to music, or getting inspired by anime, and films.

Those interests still find their way into my work. The pacing, the mood, the composition, the styling, and the idea of making a project feel like its own world all come from the things I naturally pay attention to.
